The PWSC’s Advisory Committee is our organization's decision-making body. This body assists CAI in overseeing and reaching consensus on programmatic, administrative, and governance issues.

The PWSC’s Transformational Support Team is a “resource bank” of artists, educators, social scientists, administrators, and parents from school and non- school organizations. Each member brings knowledge and resources from their institution (e.g.,grade school, arts institution, university, etc.).  The  Support Team consults and works with PWSC school change coaches and artist/educators who bring the PWSC’s transformation process to K-12 schools. The current members of the team are:

  • Susan Porter (Cooperative Artists Institute Senior Program Developer, artist/ educator and a previous classroom teacher)
  • J. Curtis Jones (Cooperative Artists Institute Senior Program Developer, artist/educator and a previous classroom teacher);
  • Evan Hastings (Lesley University Adjunct Faculty and artist/educator);
  • Elie Jean Louis (Assistant Academic Superintendent, Boston Public Schools);
  • Linda Brion-Meisels (Lesley University faculty and Board Member of Peaceable Schools and Communities); and
  • Lisa Tiemann (Artist/educator).

LANGUAGE ARTS PROJECT

Classroom teachers overcome their students’ speaking, reading, and writing challenges by using the arts and other expressive modalities to draw out feelings and insights students want to talk about, read about, and write about.  For a project description, visit this web page, and see the photos below.
