The manual gives school members, education commissions, and skilled consultants from many fields the power to successfully have difficult conversations on every imaginable topic or issue. It gives schools and education commissions the capacity to govern themselves and eliminate unnecessary hierarchical structures. The manual opens the decision making process to more people and establishes educational teams and bodies of great ability.
Having these abilities are critical, because no education body can be better than the the decision making qualities of the committees and school teams that make it up. This manual provides four critical skills:
Lacking these skills school communities cannot work together effectively enough to close the achievement gap or preparing students to humanely succeed in the global marketplace. With a consultant, this manual can be reformulated to provide the four skills above for educational commissions, teams, or boards. Here is the order form for our team building manual.

The Tribal Rhythms Celebration is a fantastic way to introduce K-6 school staff, parents, and students to the spirit and values of the PWSC’s school transformation process. With its magical blend of music, dance, and dramatic stories, the Tribal Rhythms Celebration is fun and a guaranteed icebreaker that brings people together.
The celebration is the first step towards the establishment of the Classroom Learning Tribe, the gateway through which the transformation process enters the classroom. Children and adults become part of its unfolding stories. They create music on handmade musical instruments, perform the dance of the mysterious creature, and practice classroom group building activities that establish their Classroom Learning Tribe. Since 1970, this magical experience has introduced hundreds of thousands of school members to a learning strategy that combines thinking and feeling and academic and social learning. Tribal Rhythms is a Creative Teaching Partner of the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC). Link to booking info. <www.tribal-rhythms.org/tr_celebration.htm>

"The developers of Tribal Rhythms have created an original and powerful tool for helping children be their most humane and human." Freda Rebelsky, Ph.D., Professor of Deve- lopmental Psychology, Boston University
"Everything is extremely clear and well-presented in a sequenced, logical order." Susan Nutting, Classroom Teacher
The Tribal Rhythms Curriculum has proven classroom and group management techniques, group building activities, and twenty easy-to-do community building music, dance, drama, and visual arts activities. These offerings help K-5 teachers bring the relationship, intimacy, group-building capacities of our Neolithic ancestors into the modern classroom. These arts-based offerings help students and teachers work together to create simulations that teach complex academic lessons, concepts, and real life situations.
The Tribal Rhythms Curriculum is your “tool” for working with your students to build their Classroom Learning Tribe. The curriculum utilizes the Tribal Rhythms Council Circle, the first circle time strategy and the most effective, because of its lifelike simulations that tap the power of the performing arts. These simulations establish an extended surrogate family setting that develops habits that enhance learning. The curriculum shows how to use the tribe concept as both a framework and a community context for enhancing teaching and learning. Its whole-body learning activities integrate the child's thoughts and feelings (Cognitive Affective Coupling) and teaches students the values of caring, cooperation and respect. Here is the order form for our Tribal Rhythms curriculum.
